Sports Information

***Spring Sports Clearance is Now OPEN!!!

Good evening Raiders and Parents/Guardians,

It is that time of year again…Spring Sports tryouts begin this weekend, Saturday, February 1st! If your son/daughter is interested in playing a spring sport (Boys Tennis, Boys Volleyball, Baseball, Softball, Boys & Girls Swim & Dive, Girls and Boys Track & Field, Girls Lacrosse), they must have the following completed prior to tryouts:

1. Online Clearance.  Please note: There is a new district requirement for the online clearance where both the parent and the student must physically sign the ‘Athlete Info’ form, in addition to the e-signature, in the final step of clearance.

  1. Valid Doctor’s physical. Students with physicals that expire between now and March 15th will not be allowed to clear for a spring sport.  Physicals must be renewed to cover the athlete through the spring season.  Please schedule your physicals as soon as possible.

  1. Health Insurance. If you do not have insurance, you can purchase district approved insurance via Myers-Stevens. You can purchase it online at this link (fastest way) myers-stevens.com/enrollment-page or pick up a hard copy at the ASB.

  1. 2nd Sport Form.  If your son/daughter participated in a Winter sport this school year, they must get clearance from that winter sport coach in order to play a spring sport. If they are still in season, they can check the box “Still in Season” on their form, still have their coach sign, and we will follow up with the winter coach once their season is completed.
Once your son/daughter has completed all of the above, they can bring their “Athlete Info” form printed from the online clearance program (3 pages) and a valid physical to Dr. Snyder in Room 709 (and/or place in the box outside his office). The last day to clear to play a spring sport is February 8th, so don’t wait until the last minute and take care of it as soon as possible!! Students will NOT be allowed to try out if they have not been cleared first.

*Please see the attached handout for sport-specific tryout dates and times.*

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to stop by the ASB or see Dr. Snyder in Room 709.

Thank you,
