Master Plan Community Meeting for Southwest High and Middle School

On behalf of the Sweetwater Union High School District, please join us for a presentation on facility master plans. School Site Master Plans identify facility needs, and assist in developing the future of our campuses. A presentation of the master plan will be followed by community engagement focus groups, for each campus. Thank you for the opportunity to collaborate with your community.

SUHSD Community Event

On Saturday, May 12th, 2018 from 8:30am-12:00pm at San Ysidro High School, the Sweetwater community is invited to attend a half-day mini-conference and showcase on issues of personal, local and global significance with the goal of improving our community’s global competence.

We have presenters from SDSU, San Ysidro Health Clinic, Intercultural Ambassadors, Generation Justice and more, as well as SUHSD students, presenting a range of workshops including,  “Be The Change You Want To See” , “Dealing with Difference: Engage in Dialogue with Generation Global”, “Race to Zero: The Ethics of the Global Poverty Clock”, “IRC Peacemakers: Refugee Youth of San Diego” and “Unconscious Bias in the Classroom”.


Be Empowered Day, March 16, 2018

Students will be attending periods 1,2 and 7 as they regularly would. During periods 3-6, students will be engaging in male and female driven activities to facilitate conversations with students to empower them as an individual and as a group of young adults.
