**Winter Sports Clearance Now OPEN!!!

Good evening Raiders and Parents/Guardians,

It is that time of year again…Winter Sports tryouts begin on November 9th! If your son/daughter is interested in playing a winter sport (Boys/Girls Basketball, Boys/Girls Soccer, Boys/Girls Wrestling, Co-Ed Roller Hockey, or Girls Water Polo), they must have the following completed prior to tryouts:

1. Online Clearance.  There is a new district requirement for the online clearance where both the parent and the student must physically sign the ‘Athlete Info’ form, in addition to the e-signature, in the final step of clearance.
2. Valid Doctor’s physical. Students with physicals that expire between now and March 15th will not be allowed to clear for a winter sport.  Please schedule your physicals as soon as possible.
3. Health Insurance. If you do not have insurance, you can purchase district approved insurance via Myers-Stevens. You can purchase it online at this link (fastest way) myers-stevens.com/enrollment-page or pick up a hard copy at the ASB.
4. 2nd Sport Form.  If your son/daughter participated in a FALL sport this school year, they must get clearance from that fall sport coach in order to play a winter sport. If they are still in season, they can check the box “Still in Season” on their form, still have their coach sign, and we will follow up with the Fall coach once their season is completed.

Once your son/daughter has completed all of the above, they can bring their “Athlete Info” form printed from the online clearance program (3 pages) and a valid physical to Mr. Tapia (place in the box outside his office) or to the ASB.

The last day to clear to play a fall sport is November 8th, so don’t wait until the last minute and take care of it as soon as possible!! Students will NOT be allowed to try out if they have not been cleared first.

*Sport-specific tryout dates and times will be provided next week.*

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to stop by the ASB.

Thank you,
